The teachers of the Alliance française lead courses in French as a foreign language, French as a second language and French for specific purposes. The management, educational coordination, trainers and administrative assistants share the same commitment and passion for promoting the French language and Francophone cultures.

Alliance Française Cayenne welcomes in its training courses people from diverse backgrounds (Surinamese, Guyanese, Brazilians, Colombians, Peruvians, Haitians, Cubans, Dominicans, Venezuelans, Chinese, Thai, Syrians, etc.), all of which aim to join the social and economic life of Guyana. That is why we strive to establish didactic pathways corresponding to the needs of the populations of Guyana around educational and cultural activities promoting the exchange of knowledge and cultures. The Alliance Française is both a training organisation specialised in teaching French as a foreign language, an examination center for official certifications of French (France Education International, Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris) and a cultural centre

The teaching team is made up of experienced trainers in the teaching of French as a Foreign Language (FLE), but also of French as a Language for Integration (FLI), civic values, French and local cultures and socio-economic issues. Indeed, their academic backgrounds, their experiences in various schemes in Guyana such as permanent workshops for seniors, the PRE, the PRIPI, the CAI, the PREFOB, and the FSE make them quality speakers with the target audience.

In addition, Alliance Française Cayenne complies with the employment obligation and takes into account professional equality between women and men. We promote gender diversity both in the teaching team and in training groups, and we also implement intercultural skills in our training groups to avoid stereotypes and encourage the integration of trainees into our society.

Sustainable development and environmental protection are important themes of the global network of Alliances Françaises, aware of their societal impact.  Our association demonstrates through these eco-citizen actions its interest in environmental issues and wishes to develop within it a responsible attitude on the part of both employees and learners.

In addition, we offer teaching/learning modules on eco-citizen behaviors in the various training workshops that we run, so that trainees become aware of the individual actions that can be taken to preserve our environment.
